Mississippi PULMONOLOGY

Hospital in coastal MS is seeking a Pulmonologist. This will be an employed position though this hospital. Physician will have office and ICU responsibilities. The ICU is a 13 bed unit, 10 beds are fully used and 3 are for inpatient dialysis. No open heart and very little trauma at this facility. Hospital has affiliation with Tulane and most trauma cases are sent there. Access to LTAC if needed. Excellent salary plus production bonus, full hospital benefits including matching 401k, 20 days vacation, 5 days CME and CME allowance, relocation and signing bonus. Would like for new physician to also serves as Medical Director of Pulmonary services. This would add an additional 25k onto salary. Call will be 1:2. Once the new Pulmonologist is established, the hospital will recruit for another.

Practice opportunity is located in Gulfport is the second largest city in Mississippi. It has a local population of 71,000 and service draw of 189,000. It is 60 miles from New Orleans, LA and Mobile, AL and 15 miles from Biloxi, MS.

Good public, parochial and private schools systems for children and the opportunity for higher education can be obtained at several universities located in New Orleans, LA, Jackson, MS, Mobile, AL, as well as locally at the University of Southern Mississippi.

This city is a city of progress. Strategically located in the Gulf, they are home to the Mississippi State Port, The Gulfport Harbor, magnificent white sand beaches, casino gaming and the spectacular equestrian events held each Spring at the Harrison County Equestrian Center.
