Staff Psychiatrist position for combination inpatient and outpatient position.

The caseload will be a general adult population with psychiatric and dual diagnoses treatment issues. The new physician will be supported by a highly qualified group of experienced physicians, psychiatric nurses, mid-level practitioners, psychologists, masters-prepared therapists, drug & alcohol counselors, and administration in a multidisciplinary treatment team setting. The caseload is manageable as is the call schedule.

A top compensation package of salary, bonus plan, benefits and more will be offered. Ideal candidates will be BE/BC in General Psychiatry or any subspecialty with interests in treating a predominant adult patient population.

Wyoming Behavioral Institute (WBI) a recognized leader in the treatment of substance abuse and mental illness, is the largest specialty hospital in the region. The main campus is located in Casper. Fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), and licensed by the Wyoming Department of Health WBI offers a comprehensive array of programs and services for children, teens, and adults of all ages. WBH presently has 70 inpatient and RTC beds in addition to an outpatient counseling center. We will be expanding services in 2008-2009.

Casper is in Natrona County and it is the 2nd largest city in Wyoming. Casper is located in east central Wyoming at the foot of Casper Mountain, the north end of the Laramie Mountain Range and along the North Plate River. I-25 is a main avenue for transportation and towns immediately adjacent include Mills, Evansville, Bar Nunn and Mountain View. The community has a solid economy, good housing, school systems and activities for families.
