River Crest Hospital is recruiting a new Psychiatrist to the community of San Angelo, Texas.
The hospital is open as to the specialty General, Geriatric, Addiction or Child. The practice will be a combination of inpatient, partial and outpatient clinical care with a diverse patient caseload. If a physician prefers the primary practice can be all hospital based. The primary patient population for hospital treat is adults with some adolescents if preferred in the caseload.
There is a call group at the hospital. There is an option in the compensation package for an administrative stipend with leadership duties in one of the service program areas. The hospital will provide income and practice overhead support. There is great need for a new Psychiatrist in the community and a new doctor will be welcomed and busy in practice quickly.
River Crest Hospital is an 80 bed hospital part of Universal Health Services, Inc., one of the largest providers of high-quality healthcare in the nation. Our hospital has been accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Our goal is threefold: to provide crisis stabilization, skills development, and enhancement of personal strengths so you may function safely in health after you leave our program.
Treatment is provided by a multi-disciplinary team consisting of case managers, psychiatric nurses, adjunctive therapists, social workers and teachers who are all under the direction of a physician. Treatment takes place in a secured, nurturing environment, allowing patients to focus solely on the recovery process. The hospital provides a comprehensive range of services with appropriate support at all treatment levels.
Patient population ages are child, adolescent, adult and older adults. Services include general psychiatric, dual diagnoses and addition treatment. We have inpatient and partial hospital programs.
The City of San Angelo covers 58.61 sq. miles and Tom Green County covers 1,540.05 sq. miles. San Angelo is located in West Central Texas between the Texas hill country to the southeast and the rolling plains to the northwest. San Angelo is located between U.S. Interstate Highways I-10 and I-20. I-10 is 64 miles south of San Angelo, and depending upon the route taken, it is approximately 70-80 miles to I-20. Other major highways connecting to San Angelo include U.S. Highways 67, 87, and 277.
