MEDICAL DIRECTOR and STAFF PSYCHIATRIST for premier Kansas City, Missouri area private behavioral health hospital system.
Two Rivers Psychiatric Hospital is a 105-bed treatment facility offering comprehensive behavioral healthcare and stabilization for adolescents, children, adults and seniors. Two Rivers is a nationally recognized leader in individualized treatment for a broad range of psychiatric and dual diagnoses issues including trauma and neurobehavioral specialty treatment needs. All services are provided by highly trained multidisciplinary clinicians and support staff in a structured, nurturing environment of inpatient and partial programs.
Positions are fulltime employment offering very competitive salary, benefits and incentive plans. Candidates may be General, Child or other Psychiatric specialty.
Medical Director duties include administrative clinical management and direct clinical care of patients in hospital based services of inpatient and partial programs. The Medical Director will work closely with staff on quality improvement initiatives and risk management, providing clinical administrative supervision to other physicians and clinical staff. Program development and liaison activities with community referral sources and managed care companies are critical components in the position. Direct clinical care duties include initial evaluations and assessments, treatment team leadership and management of a limited patient caseload. Ideal candidate will have some previous clinical/administrative experience.
Staff Physician duties include initial evaluations and assessments, treatment team leadership and daily care of patients in assigned caseload. Participation in assigned medical staff meetings and medical record documentation are critical responsibilities as well. Ideal candidates will have interest in working with trauma and general psychiatric patient populations.
