Moonlighting Positions
ON-CALL PHYSICIAN OPENINGS

Westwood Lodge Hospital in Westwood, Massachusetts and Pembroke Hospital in Pembroke, Massachusetts, are both full service psychiatric hospitals with Doctor-On-Call openings for Residents (PSYIII and above), Fellows, and others who are interested in working occasional weeknights and occasional weekend days for significant compensation. Our hospitals have had ongoing relationships with many of the major teaching programs in Massachusetts and Rhode Island for more than twenty-five years. Internal medicine, family medicine and neurology residents will find the work interesting and useful.

Week days the Doctor-On-Call arrives at Westwood Lodge at 6:00pm and leaves at 7:00am the following week day morning. Evening arrival time at Pembroke Hospital is 7:00pm with the same morning departure time at 7:00am the following week day morning. If the DOC needs to leave earlier, this can be arranged. On Friday evenings, the DOC arrives at 6:00pm (or 7:00pm at Pembroke) and leaves at 9:00am on Saturday. The DOC call on Saturday is from 9:00am to 9:00am on Sunday. Sunday is 9:00am to 7:00am on Monday. It is possible to work Friday evening & Saturday together or Sunday with one or two weeknights per month. The DOC is required to be on grounds at all times during their shift.

DOCs perform full evaluations of newly admitted patients (Initial Psychiatric Evaluation and Physical Exam, Initial Admitting Orders) and consult with patients as needed. Weekdays the base pay is $500 plus additional services (admissions @ $65 each, physical exams @ $25 each, etc.) added to the $500. If the total for any weeknight is less than $700, the DOC is paid $700. If a DOC is scheduled for a minimum of 4 shifts per month, he/she will be paid a base of $700 plus the other services. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays are paid at $1000 per day, plus other services added to the $1000.
