Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC), a 333-bed facility, seeks a BC/BE Psychiatrist to establish an independent practice, and care for both military, as well as private community patients, in an area that can truly be referred to as the 'jewel of the desert' (prior military background a "plus"). YRMC is the only acute care hospital within a 100 mile radius and provides almost all modalities of care. We host a variety of state-of-the-art technology, including digital imaging services with the option of remoite access to x-rays via an internet 'portal', and a 32-slice CT scanner. The community of Yuma, Arizona boasts close proximity to the Imperial Sand Dunes (4-wheel/sand rails), Colorado River, and year-round access to outdoor recreation options. Year around population in the area is 193,000, with an additional 100,000 winter visitor influx due to our mild winter climate. Yuma, Arizona is located mid distance between San Diego, CA and Phoenix, AZ (180 miles each direction) and is located only 30 miles from the Colorado River.
