This candidate must be fellowship trained and be either board certified or board eligible. New York State Limited permits will not be accepted. Inpatient experience required within the last 5 years. Up to date knowledge on medications. Reference names and phone numbers required prior to acceptance. These references must be physicians that have supervised them in the recent past. Hours would be Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. They have two positions. One position will be seeing Adolescents ages 6-18. The other position will be for adults. Ages 19 and above. Average length of stay is 7 to 10 days. Call is 1:4 Support Staff: RN's, MHT's, social worker, D/C planner, community agencies. For the Adolescent patients: Patients are typically admitted (voluntary vs. involuntary) Younger voluntary, older involuntary. The ECC has a crisis team in place. Common Dx: PTSD, Bipolar, Intermittent explosive behavior Daily Duties include: Covering 8-10 inpatients plus consults on the floors and ER (adults and/or children) Other duties: Will need to physically come in for seclusions (be here within 1 hour). Restraints 20 minutes respond with orders. For the Adult patients: Patients are typically admitted on an involuntary basis through the ECC. Crisis team is in place. Common Dx: Full spectrum including depression, substance abuse, schizophrenia, bipolar, etc., etc. Daily Duties include: Covering 8-10 inpatients plus consults on the floors and ER (adults and/or children). Consults range between 0-5 on any given day Other duties: Will need to physically come in for seclusions (be here within 1 hour). Restraints 20 minutes respond with orders.
