Perinatology Opportunity in South Texas!
South Texas Health System is assisting with the recruitment of a Perinatologist to the community.
This is a private practice opportunity to start up a new practice, or the hospital will assist a new physician in joining a group. The new physician will come into the McAllen market and is expected to be very busy in practice at start. There is great growth potential and a generous compensation package will be offered.
McAllen, Texas is located just one hour from the beautiful coast of the Gulf of Mexico! The cities of Brownsville and Harlingen are located within easy drives of the McAllen area, and Corpus Christi is located just 2 1/2 hours north. McAllen currently has a population of 123,000 and is recognized as one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. The city has a fairly young population, with the median age being 30. The area enjoys a diverse, vibrant economy with a number of large multinational corporations, such as General Electric and Nokia. McAllen offers myriad shopping, dining and cultural venues, in addition to an affordable housing market. Further, the city has a wide range of educational options, from quality public schools to private schools to colleges/universities (the University of Texas - Pan American and South Texas College are located nearby).
