21 for 2 months. They are trying to jump start a new program. There are pediatric inpatient wards at both hospitals. The pediatric Hospitalist program is well supported by pediatricians and family practitioners throughout the community. There are approximately 3300 newborn deliveries per year and a level 3 NICU staffed by neonatologists and neonatal NP's. Duties would include management of pediatric patients, consultations from other physicians, ER evaluations and consultations, pediatric trauma support and evaluation of newborns. Deliveries are attended by the neonatal team.
