South Dakota Pediatrics

Childrens in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is seeking to add a fellowship trained pediatric adolescent medicine specialist to join a group of four Pediatricians. This position will focus on developing a referral location for pediatric adolescent medicine. However, the practice will also encompass all aspects of general pediatrics including caring for newborns to adolescents, equally shared call, and hospital admissions. The group sees not only their own private patients, but also a large number of referrals from the eastern part of South Dakota, southwestern Minnesota, and northwestern Iowa. They carry a variety of patient populations from simple pediatric cases to fairly complex outpatients as well.

Application for a pediatric residency is in process and expected to begin in 2010. Children's Health Research Center is in the development and recruitment process. This center will offer the opportunity for all levels of research to Sanford medical staff.

Clinic Pediatrics East is part of a larger group of 400 physicians practicing in the Health system. Childrens Specialty Group helps manage the groups patients when in need of a sub-specialist. This group represents most all of the pediatric subspecialties.
