Rapid City has a local population of 60k with a drawing area of 320k. This area is known as the Black Hills area named after the Black Hills National Forests. There are many National Parks, Lakes, trails caves to visit. Visit Mount Rushmore National Monument! Rapid City has excellent restaurants to choose from and out of the way eateries to satisfy any hunger. This is a great family oriented location.
Spearfish, while smaller then Rapid City, offers the local, Black Hills University for higher educational opportunities, nice lifestyle with equally as many outdoors adventures to choose from.
