Medical Center is a 116 bed acute care medical/surgical hospital built in 1999 as a replacement facility for the Byerly Hospital, which was founded by Dr. W. L. Byerly, Sr. has a medical staff of approximately 55 physicians from varying specialties. Its Emergency Department experiences over 30,000 visits annually, its Obstetrics Department delivers between 55-65 babies each month and its Operating Room performs around 6,000 procedures per year. An attached, 3-story Medical Office Building houses a number of different specialties, including a large group of primary care physicians, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Nephrology, Urology, Neurology, Cardiology and more. It also houses the hospitals Outpatient Physical Therapy department, Outpatient Cardiac Rehab department, and Sleep Center.
