Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Developmental Pediatric Opportunity

The Medical Center 500-Bed Award Winning, Academic Facility oHas a five-year, $700 million expansion plan o$100 million is devoted to the construction of a new, stand alone Childrens Hospital Penn State Childrens Hospital has 120 licensed beds and treats more than 5,500 patients annually. oLevel III NICU oPICU has received the highest rating for its care to medical, surgical and trauma patients by PICU Evaluations

What Penn State is looking for: Penn State would like someone with experience in the full range of pediatric developmental and behavioral issues, but specifically to include autism, attention deficit disorder, children with severe impairments and children with spina bifida. The latter two groups are underserved in our department and are not currently our specific area of expertise. The individual will need to have a good knowledge base in use of medications for behavior management including the treatment of aggression.

Work With: Dr. Ramer (Division of Human Genetics, Growth and Development) Dr. Roger Ladda (Division Chief) Susan Sell (Genetic Counselor) Stacy Stark (Brain Rehabilitation) Mark Domoto (Education Specialist) We interface with Pediatric Neurologists when needed and an excellent School Psychologist who works in the Department of (Child) Psychiatry.

Position expectations: Primarily Clinical Start at 8AM clinic everyday to 5PM No general Pediatrics, Only Developmental Pediatrics call

Compensation Package Employed plus Production Assistant Professor $115,000-120,000 Professor $130,000-140,000 Production (works off academic calendar) oAverage production bonus $2,000 paid out two times a year oAverage bonus for doing satellite clinics $1,000 paid out two times a year oAverage bonus for teaching $2,500 pad out once a year
