General Pediatrics Opportunity:
We are presently seeking 1 full-time BC/BE General Pediatrician. We are currently staffed with 3 physicians and are in a growth mode. No J-1s or H-1 visas

Nason Hospital is an independent, financially viable, 44-bed, JCAHO, 501c3 hospital located in Roaring Spring, PA (Blair County). Population of the County is 130,000; our primary service area is approximately 35,000. We celebrated 100 years of service in April 2000. The hospital has an excellent reputation and strong support from physicians and the community. Our Obstetrics and Pediatrics are key services for the Hospital and surrounding communities.

  • Modern Imaging Department (CT, Mammo, R/F, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Dexascanner)
  • Total PSA and SSA population is 95,000+.

  • 2200+ annual hospital admissions (med/surg)
  • Large Outpatient base: 85,000 annual hospital outpatient visits

    COMPENTSATION PACKAGE:

    The employed position offers an attractive compensation and benefits package. Physicians can start at a base of $160,000-180,000 with a bonus as high as the 75 % of the MGMA standards for a first year total compensation range from $213- $233K. A three year employment agreement will be offered to the right candidate.

    Roaring Spring is a picturesque, historic community located in Blair County (Central) Pennsylvania. It is an excellent place to raise a family with quality primary, secondary, and post-secondary education, affordable housing, low crime rate, low unemployment rate, with easy access to transportation and major highways and interstates. The County Seat is Hollidaysburg, Pa. Blair County Airports services 3 daily departures connecting to over 200 departures from Pittsburgh, Pa. Driving time to Pittsburgh is 2 hours and Washington DC/Baltimore is 2.5 hours, respectively.

    Penn State University is 45 minutes away. Altoona (twenty minutes away) has a Penn State branch campus (4 year college) with over 4,000 students. Juniata College (35 minutes away) and Saint Francis College (30 minutes away) are quality liberal arts colleges.

    There are excellent outdoor activities including golfing, skiing, hunting, fishing, and health/fitness complexes. The area boasts beautiful fall foliage among the four-season climate. Lake Raystown is the states largest man-made lake, great for boating, fishing, hiking, biking enthusiasts. Cultural activities (arts, theater, concerts) also exist in Altoona, Johnstown, and Penn State Universitys Bryce Jordan Center.

    QUALIFIED CANDIDATES:

    The candidates must be comfortable with attending emergency C-Sections, circumcisions, and growing out-patient based general pediatrics office on the Hospital campus. Must be licensed or able to obtain license in PA. Recent graduates will be considered. High standards of delivering quality care and customer service is essential.
