KRC.0108.0302.07 Pediatrician for a Federally Qualified Community Health Center. Board Certified Physician will work in a dynamic and progressive health center serving a diverse and growing population. The Health Center delivers a fully integrated model of care with dental, mental health, and pharmacy services on-site, and is on track to a full conversion to EMR by mid-2008. Staff physicians work four days weekly in the clinic with full support of mid-levels and RNs in "patient care teams." The clinic has created a "medical home" for more than 7,000 children.

Currently there are 75+ employees at the Health Center, including 4 physicians, including 2 family physicians, 6 ARNPs (one dedicated to pediatrics), 5 dentists, 4 hygienists, 3 psychologists, and 1 pharmacist. Call is shared among the providers on staff. Call is shared with staff pediatrician, and includes one weekend a month.

The 188-bed admitting hospital is 3 miles from the Health Center and provides the following services: diagnostic, emergency (including helicopter), cancer center, cardiology, urology, orthopedics, neurology, general surgery, obstetrics, rehab, etc.

Salary range is $130,000 to $150,000 with a contract duration of 1 to 3 years. Benefits include 23 days of paid time off, paid health, dental, and life insurance and 5% employer contribution to pension plan. Relocation and $3000 annual CME allowance available, as well as loan repayment.
