South Dakota Pediatric Surgery

Childrens Specialty Clinic, a multi-specialty pediatric clinic and the Sanford School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics are seeking a BC/BE pediatric surgeon to join two other pediatric surgeons in a well-established, growing practice.

Childrens Specialty Clinic consists of 26 pediatric sub-specialists, including pediatric critical care, neonatology, hospitalists along with pediatric pulmonology, cardiology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, genetics, neurology, and nephrology. Other specialties joining soon include pediatric ENT, pediatric urology and pediatric infectious disease. This pediatric specialty group serves a population base of over one million throughout South Dakota, NW Iowa and Southern Minnesota, as well as Northern Nebraska.

In 2006, opened a new state-of-the-art surgical tower with 24 surgical suites. In March of this year, Children's Hospital opened providing 120 beds dedicated to the care of children. This free standing Children's Hospital is connected directly to the surgical tower via sky walk.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota is an economically strong community of approximately 170,000 and is rapidly growing. As a no income tax state, we attract a large number of banks and credit card companies. There is a wide range of different activities that are offered in this community. We have a fine symphony and outstanding performing arts center. There are multiple minor league sports including baseball, basketball, indoor football, soccer and hockey. Also, a 20-mile winding bicycle trail encircles the city and courses the Big Sioux River.
