Women and Children's Hospital, located in Lake Charles, La., has been serving the residents of Southwest Louisiana for more than 20 years. The acute care, 88 bed hospital, accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), provides quality, cost-effective health care including Obstetrics LDRs, Pediatric Unit, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care, ICU, Surgical Services, Non-Invasive Cardiac Stress Testing, Mobile Pulmonary Function Testing, Emergency Room, Outpatient Lab and X-Ray Services and a Medical/Surgical Unit. Our facility maintains very high patient satisfaction levels and has been ranked by area consumers as "best" in OB and Pediatric services based on a 2008 survey. In addition the hospital has received platinum awards for quality of care. With a recent hospital expansion, WCH treats the general population not limited to mother and babies, including exceptional diagnostic equipment, advanced technology and some of the latest treatments in healthcare.

The city of Lake Charles is conveniently located on Interstate-10 between Houston, TX and New Orleans, LA. Lake Charles is connected to the Gulf by means of a deep-water ship channel and is the seat and port of entry of Calcasieu Parish.
