Specialty Pediatric - Neurologist Job Description The pediatric program at our Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Neurologist. Teaching in an ACGME/AOA dual accredited community based stand-alone thirty six resident Family Medicine Program, and in/outpatient clinical care will be the primary responsibilities of the individual employed. She/he will also have responsibility for planning, coordinating, and executing the development of a Pediatric Neurology Program at The Medical Center which is planning an on campus Women and Children's Hospital. This is a unique career opportunity with a competitive salary and benefit package. Applicants must be BC/BE in Pediatric Neurology and eligible for full licensure in Georgia. Significant administrative interaction with the Chief of Pediatrics will be encouraged. Our facility also provides teaching for students from several Georgia medical schools, serves a local population of over 220,000, and draws from a 21 county area. The core facilities have 419 presently staffed beds. Pediatrics has 28 of those with an additional 7 in PICU. Both have room for expansion. The NICU, adjacent to L&D, has 40+ beds. With excellent schools, moderate four season climate, lakes, and a white water river forming the boarder between Georgia and Alabama, Columbus is an excellent place to live and raise a family.
