The second largest hospital in Georgia is seeking to employ a board certified/board eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician. The physician will start a Pediatric Emergency service in a Level One trauma center to support the pediatric residency program. The facility is the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Atlanta and Florida, treating over 45,000 patients annually. The call coverage is shared with and backup provided by hospital orthopedic traumatologists. The facility treats infants, children, and adolescents up to age 21 which includes a population of over 750,000 Central Georgia residents. The practice also supports the Children’s Hospital at the Flagship hospital which treats over 42,000 patients annually. New grads are welcomed. Military backgrounds prove beneficial. 

The physician will provide the highest quality health care possible. Coordinate and facilitate clinical, administrative and professional activities as delegated by Medical Director and Administration; Collaborate with other physicians, staff and community agencies to provide continuity of care for patients in any designated setting. The physician ensures all services are delivered safely, confidentially and promptly. 

Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical School with a Doctor of Medicine Degree 

Experience: Two years experience preferred. 

Certification/License/Registration: Current license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia, Board Certified or eligible in his/her specialty.
