San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles -- Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is seeking a Palliative Medicine physician for a unique clinician-educator position. We are seeking a physician with broad clinical knowledge and demonstrated experience in palliative care, strong evidence-based practice, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Busiest private trauma center in LA County. Qualifications include certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine; fellowship training required. This position will work with our interdisciplinary team to fully integrate Palliative Medicine into clinical care, drive consults and improved outcomes, educate peers and nursing staff, and influence cultural change by maximizing interpersonal relationships. Unique opportunity to build a palliative care program in an environment with significant organizational support for palliative medicine. Collaborative relationship with continuum-of-care services, including hospice, offer both patients and clinicians unique opportunity for continuity in palliative care. Flexible work arrangements; if desired, schedule could allow the physician to be able to build a private practice as well.
