Join 1 physician and a physician assistant. This practice is part a major Health Network . The long-term goal of the practice is to create a multi-specialty group with the current neurosurgery practice And interventional physiatrist.
A particular interest in hand or foot/ankle, or joint surgery is preferred. The position would be that of an employed model with the hospital with a comprehensive benefit package (attached). The base salary for the incoming physician would be $500,000 for the first two years. After year two the salary would be reduced some with a work-based RVU bonus. A sign-on bonus will be offered. Call would be 1:5.
Current ortho with expertise in sports medicine. He completed medical school and residency at the University of Maryland and a sports medicine fellowship from John Hopkins. Four additional surgeons are in solo practice, with three of them sharing ER call
Medical Center is a private, non-profit, level II trauma center serving a tri-county area of 170,000 in northeastern New York. Our typical daily census is approximately 280 (approximately 170 acute beds) with 155 physicians on the Medical Staff. Our sub-specialty support is very good. In 2008 CVPH had 11,871 admissions, 101,697 patient days, 967 births, 51,286 emergency room visits and 19,399 surgical procedures. We are one of the few New York hospitals that typically operate in the black.
The services offered here are advanced and our technology vast. Our state of the art critical care unit has 14-beds, the Progressive Care Unit has 12 beds and our two new cath labs have digital equipment. We just opened our newly constructed OR*s (9), main lobby and patient registration area. Our Ambulatory Surgery Center has 4 OR*s and 4 endoscopy suites. The latest piece of equipment being utilized is the daVinci Robot. Our newly constructed Medical Arts Building houses a state of the art laboratory, pharmacy, outpatient cardiology services, and physician office space. Of significance is that we expanded our cardiology services to include open-heart surgery and angioplasty in 2005. Of significance is that this program has been recognized nationally and at the state level for its excellence and outcomes.
Picturesque community of 38,000 located on Lake Champlain and at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. We live where others vacation. It is extremely safe with a low cost of living slightly above the national average. There are excellent schools both public and private. The State University of New York also has a branch here with 6,200 students.
