Currently one very busy orthopedist in the community who is supportive of hospital's recruitment efforts and willing to form cross coverage relationship with new physician. Expect no more than ten days of ER unassigned call coverage per month.(1:3) Recruitment incentive package includes attractive income support, practice start up assistance, sign on bonus, student loan repayment, stipend for last year residents, and marketing. Our Community Hospital is an acute care hospital that serves the residents of Wythe and Bland counties and southwest Virginia, and is fully accredited by Joint Commission. The hospital is located near the intersection of Interstates 77 and 81, which brings thousands of travelers through the area each year. The hospital has 100 beds, 6-bed ICU, 3 large operating rooms and 1 minor procedure room, in-house MRI and 16 slice CT, MD & CRNA anesthesia. The hospital offers 24-hour Emergency Care, Surgery, Extended Care Services, Intensive Care, Women's Services, Radiology Services, Rehabilitation Services, Hospice, Home Health, Cardiology, Respiratory, Cancer Services, Pastoral Care, Hospitalist Program and Community/Occupational Education. The hospital is currently undergoing a $5 million renovation and expansion project in the Emergency Department, expending from 7 exam rooms to 13.
