Job Job Recruiting
The physician will have a home office in one community where he/she will practice three days/week. An itinerant space will be leased in the other community the other two days of the week.
Emergency call coverage will be shared with the existing surgeon in each community simultaneously (15 days/month). If there is a call at one hospital and get a call from the other, it is the second hospitals obligation to ship the patient to you or out. It likely will not be a major issue, but that is what the standard procedure will be. Each hospital has an existing surgeon that will take the other 15 days.
Existing Medical Staff By-Laws stipulate that all staff physicians must be Board certified in their respective specialties. The one exception to this requirement allows for the recruitment of a non-Boarded physician so long as they are Board eligible and are within five years of their most recent formal training. The successful candidate will not only have completed the requisite training, but must also demonstrate a willingness to become actively integrated into the community.
