Wellmont Health System, along with Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center, is pleased to announce that Appalachian Orthopaedic Associates, a prominent & well established single specialty ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY private practice located in Bristol, Tennessee, is currently recruiting motivated ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEONS to their practice.

Appalachian Orthopaedic Associates, founded over twenty years ago, has grown to be the progressive and reputable Orthopaedic Surgery program in the region, providing the largest and most comprehensive Orthopaedic program in the Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia regions. Appalachian Orthopaedic Associates consists of 26 surgeons practicing in four locations in the Tri-Cities area with two office locations in Bristol, TN consisting of six practicing physicians. Drs. Michael Fleenor and Fred Knickerbocker are established, well respected physicians who have been offering excellent ORTHOPAEDIC care to the population of Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee since 1975. They joined Appalachian Orthopaedic Associates in 1997. Also, operating as Appalachian Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, Appalachian Orthopaedic Associates offers an office in Bristol providing physical therapy and sports medicine. The physicians and staff of Appalachian Orthopaedic Associates are specially trained to provide complete care in general Orthopaedics. They also offer specialty services in the following areas: Arthroscopic Surgery, Sports Medicine, Occupational Injuries, Total Joint Replacement, Hand & Wrist, Foot & Ankle Surgery, Spine Surgery, Fractures and Orthopaedic Trauma.

Compensation package includes:

$320,000-$370,000 salary range Aggressive sign on incentives Paid vacation Paid malpractice Relocation allowance Investment opportunities in ambulatory surgery center
