Opportunity to join a well-established group of six orthopaedic surgeons with a very strong regional reputation - to be based full-time in Berwick.
The group consists of sub-specialists in spine, sports medicine and joint replacement surgery. General ortho call is 1:6 nights. The qualified candidate would be employed by the group, potentially offered partnership after 1 year of practice and would be based full-time in Berwick. The group owns two diagnostic imaging centers, several physical therapy clinics and is invested in a local surgery center.
This community is located just southwest of Wilkes-Barre, near the Pocono Mountains and within 1.5-2 hrs of NYC and Philadelphia.
The city pop. of Berwick is 20,000 with our Hospital Center (licensed for 144 beds) serving an area pop. of 75,000.
This area offers a stable local economy with a friendly and safe environment.
The northeastern Penn. area also offers numerous entertainment options, including major amphitheaters, minor league baseball and hockey teams and outstanding outdoor recreation on the scenic Susquehanna River and the famous Pocono ski resort.
