We are located 2 hours from Nashville, 2 hours from Memphis and 3 hours from St. Louis. Mayfield is located in the far western portion of Kentucky, twenty minutes from the largest series of man-made lakes, the National Park Services Land Between the Lakes. Outdoor recreation abounds with numerous golf courses, biking, hiking and horseback riding trails. Hunters and fishermen will find our area lavish with opportunities for their sport. For indoor entertainment, shopping, reading and performing arts are available. Mayfield is two hours from Nashville, two and one-half hours from St. Louis and three hours from Memphis. Our Medical Center is a fifteen year old, thirty million dollar facility with 107 beds. The hospital has a level three trauma ER with 27,000 visits a year. We have an 8 bed all private suite, labor / delivery center with nursery having 480 births a year; and a 8 bed CCU/ICU unit. The 54 member medical staff are over 85% Board Certified with an average age of 44. The hospitals service area is 90,000, drawing patients from the eight counties of the Jackson Purchase.
