Seattle, WA Oncology - GI

Fellowship-trained GI medical oncologist with proven research, Phase I clinical trial development experience and leadership abilities, to enhance and expand our program in GI malignancies. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional clinician with excellent communication and team building skills and will be able to work collaboratively with the Cancer Institute care team.

Medical Center is recognized as one of the country's foremost institutions in the care of hepatobiliary, pancreatic, esophageal, and colorectal cancers. We provide coordinated, patient centered care across the continuum with cutting edge diagnostic, surgical and medical care regimens and a survivorship program. Our team of cancer caregivers includes nationally recognized physicians and researchers. Patients have opportunities to participate in research trials through the NCI CCOP mechanism, the Benoroya Research Institute, and the Digestive Diseases Institute at Virginia Mason. The Cancer Institute was recently remodeled with 30 private infusion rooms.

In 2009 the Cancer Institute received a three-year accreditation with commendation from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Commendation was awarded for performance in four areas.
