Our client in Maine is seeking a BE/BC Oncologist through July 2009 for a minimum commitment of two months, with the possibility of a permanent placement. There are 10 physicians in the department and the hours are 8am-5pm with call once per week, inpatient rotation every 6 weeks. The average number of patients in the clinic is 15 per day and inpatient is 10-15 per day. The support staff includes MA's, NP's and RN's. The responsibilities include writing chemo orders, putting together treatment plans, diagnose and to specialists if needed. Hospital privileging takes 4 weeks with a Maine license and 8-12 weeks without a Maine license. The airport is 10 minutes from the facility.
