We now have an opportunity for a PRN PHYSICIAN to join our team at the Babcock & Wilcox Company Wellness Center in Lynchburg, VA!

Position Summary:

Collaborates with DSO, and Lead Clinician to ensure delivery of services and optimal patient care.

Provides Back up support for PTO and Leave. Hands on clinical care to patients. Primary care, occupational health, wellness and prevention. Services will be provided to employees. Conducts histories and physical examinations and prescribes medical treatment based on current and best practice.

  • PRN Collaborating Physician
  • Entails physician collaboration with our experienced Nurse Practitioner.
  • Must be dedicated to quality patient care and satisfaction.
  • Availability for consultation from Nurse Practitioner.
  • Experience in Occupational Health and Infectious Diseases preferred

    Requirements:

    Education and/or Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school
  • At least five years of post-residency clinical experience in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency room setting
  • At least three years experience managing an ambulatory care, occupational health care or urgent care clinic.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the State; must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Emergency Medicine or Occupational Medicine, or Board Eligible in aforementioned practice areas. If Board Eligible, must take certification exam within twelve months of date of hire.
  • Must have current state and federal DEA certification.
  • Must have current certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required.
  • Medical Review Officer (MRO) Certification is a plus!
