Locum Medical has a client in Texas that is looking for Occupational Medicine coverage for their extremely busy clinic in Southwest Houston. Coverage is needed July 23rd-27th, 2007 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.. There is no call and no weekend work for this opportunity.
The ideal candidate will be Board Certified in Occupational Medicine, Family Practice or Internal Medicine as long as you have Occupational Medicine experience. The candidate should be comfortable with suturing, splinting, eye injuries (eye irrigation) and minor urgent cases. More serious injuries are referred to other locations. You must be comfortable using a computer as well.
Patient volume at the clinic is roughly between 30 and 40 patients per day. You will also have a great support staff consisting of a Medical Assistant, Office Manager, and a rehab department with a Physical Therapist on site.
