We are currently seeking a per diem (1 hour per week) Collaborating Physician for our facility in Slater, MO.
Responsibilities:
Provide acute and preventative care. Physician will have collaborative agreements with staff nurse practioners. Responsible for assuring that all patients receive quality medical care. Monitors the effectiveness of all physician extenders to assure that the highest standard of health care is provided at the lowest possible cost. Assists in the promotion of the Medical Center by providing medical educational information for publication in the site/plant newsletters. Works efficiently and conscientiously as part of a team. Supervises the physician extender staff including interviewing candidates, hiring, orientation, discipline, performance appraisals, and other personnel related duties. Assumes a medical leadership role in medical emergencies in the center including the initiation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, stabilization and transfer to an appropriate community provider as necessary. Works cooperatively with the other members of the center management team to assure smooth Medical Center operations. Assists the Clinical staff in responding to patient concerns about medical care issues and works to solve problems and improve patient care. Provide medical and Occupational surveillance in the workplace. Previous experience in Occupational Health is desirable. Requirements:
