Two Obstetrics and Gynecology Opportunities in Texas Clinical or Academic Focus

Option 1 This is an opportunity for you to become part of a highly trained and motivated group of physicians whose main focus is to pass along their passion for obstetrics and gynecology to the next generation. This traditional academic appointment will allow you to lecture, precept residents and medical students, pursue your own academic interests, see your own patients in a private clinic, have a full scope gynecological practice, and deliver babies in a Level III NICU with a L&D area that will soon undergo a $40M renovationall while enjoying the quality of life a 1:8 call schedule affords.

Option 2 This program will look and feel like private practice, yet will allow you to teach and have a full academic appointment. Get in on the ground floor as this program grows into a leading academic center in Texas. This practice will have a greater emphasis on clinical care and will compensate accordingly. Your call of 1:4 from home will allow you to have plenty of time with your family. The new Institute for Womens Health will play a major role in the future of this growing programas will the introduction residents in the near future followed by third and fourth year medical students in 2009.

Practice Employed salary ranges from $170,000-$260,000 based on academic appointment and location Incentives for each delivery performed ($250-$350) allows for the potential of additional $40,000 per year Excellent 403(b) retirement plan with the ability to tax shelter $43,000 per year Negotiable $10,000 signing bonus Paid relocation up to $8,000 Comprehensive benefits package Excellent support from the private practice community
