COASTAL NC - Join 2 board-certified physicians in a very busy practice, with demonstrated need. The office is 10,000 square feet, and has room for 5 providers. There is currently a female Nurse Midwife in the practice. She shares in the call rotation and takes front call. The group plans to add another Nurse Midwife at the right time, who will also share in the call rotation. This weekday call will immediately be 1:3, and then when the senior physician retires, will remain 1:3, but remember - the midwife is involved too. The Weekend Call is shared with another group which is across the street. Thus, you will be on call every 5th weekend.
The group is currently performing 50 deliveries per month. The hospital is a L2 NICU with neonatologists, and 2 NICU Nurse Practitioners. High risk to one of 3 locations - in fact the NICU at this hospital is so strong, that Duke and Chapel Hill have sent overflow to them as well. They do seem to turf out mothers less than 30 weeks.
