Health Center is the oldest rural center in the US. There are currently two Family Physicians and they seek to recruit two OBGYN providers due to continued growth of the practice. Initial call will be 1 in 2, and move to 1 in 3 when a second OB is recruited to the center. Deliveries and surgeries are done at the local 165 bed hospital facility. Center will offer: a competitive starting salary, occurrence based malpractice, health, life, disability insurances, student loan repayment, 4 weeks vacation, 1 week CME and stipend, 12 sick days, and more.
University community of about 13,000 has a draw of about 40,000, and is located 2 hours south of Memphis. Community was recently named in the top 100 places to live in the country, and has excellent schools, performing arts center, wonderful shops and restaurants, and outstanding recreational facilities for the whole family.
