OB-GYN-location South of Boston- top hospital with Brighams-Woman's ties-one of the best living areas around Boston - Physician needed to join dynamic physician group 20 minutes south of Boston- practice: 50% obstetrics and 50% gynecology. There are also many opportunities to do minor, minimally invasive and major gynecologic surgery. OB call once about every 8 to 9days. Call is currently for sessions of 12 to 24 hours A full-time physician would be expected to work 8 office/surgical sessions per week (One session is about 4 hours) in addition to the call obligation. Regular practice group meetings to discuss patient and business issues occur once a month.

Our practice has a balanced mix of obstetric and gynecologic patients, both high and low risk. We co-manage complicated patients as needed with specialists in MFM, urogynecology, reproductive endocrinology, vulvar and the primary care areas. The practice uses a high quality Regional Medical Center with approximately 4000 births per year, a Level 3 Nursery, and a Maternal Fetal Monitoring Unit. The Womens Center is responsible for approximately 600 deliveries per year. The Center presently has four OB-GYN doctors, two part-time GYN specialists and three mid-level providers. The group delivers exclusively at one Hospital and shares call with another practice. This combined call group has been in existence for well over twenty years and numbers 8 physicians at the present time. The entire practice uses an electronic medical record.

Location information: approximately ten miles south of Boston and forty miles north of Cape Cod. It is comprised of many small towns, each with a bit of its own character and charm. The South Shore is home to many small ocean towns and the region is well known for its beautiful beaches and fine shopping and dining. The areas residents are primarily middle class, the area not particularly rich in diversity. The South shore has been the fastest growing part of the State for the past decade, with many young families moving into the southern sections of the area .
