Community located 30 minutes from Lexington needs an additional OB/GYN. Beautiful, rapidly growing, and family focused community had 3 OB/GYN providers. Through retirements the community now has 1 full time OBGYN, and the hospital is currently assisting him by providing locums coverage. Community would like to get back to 3 providers. Current physician is offering to take more than his share of call to accommodate new provider. Expected delivery volume can approach 150 or more, in addition to a busy surgical schedule. 104 bed hospital has 12 beds in post-partum/womens care, 3 birthing rooms, 4 L&D observation beds, and 13 nursing cribs. Plans are being drawn up to start construction on a new hospital to replace this one, with a 2010 opening target date. Hospital will offer a competitive income guarantee and overhead expenses to assist the new provider.
