Academic Neurology Opportunity in Philadelphia Openings for Neurophysiology, EMG, EEG, Sleep and Stroke -450 bed academic teaching Hospital in Philadelphia with over 360 categorical residents. Academic affiliation with Thomas Jefferson University, Temple University and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Seeking 2 3 well trained and educated Neurologists to join current staff of 7. Backgrounds in Neurophysiology, EMG, EEG, Sleep and/or Stroke preferred. The group also has a neuro-ophthalmologist, two excellent neurosurgeons, 3 full time neuro radiologists and a neuro-interventionalist as a part of their faculty. Every member of the facility is well trained in a sub-specialty. Call is currently every 7th week and weekend. They have been approved for a Neurology residency and accepted their first two PGY-1's this year to start in July (92% and 99% on USMLE). Average inpatient census is 12 15. They average about a dozen inpatient consults a day. Also see outpatient patients as well. EEG, EMG and Sleep Labs are continuously busy. They also have an established epilepsy monitoring unit. Competitive salaries with full benefits including Malpractice and a defined benefits retirement plan. $3600 professional annual stipend. Every faculty member has 1 day a week of academic time for program development and academics. Clinical research opportunities exist but need to be realized by each faculty member. The department supports a research coordinator with funds grants up to $55,000 annually for research or innovative programs
