Oregon Neurology Job 5 of 9
Providence Health & Services: Portland
Portland, Oregon -- Providence Portland Medical Center and a multi-specialty, physician-managed group are partnering in search of a neurologist with Movement Disorder fellowship to join eight other neurologists in the group. Experience in surgical programs and background in clinical research preferred; group has no clinical research programs now but would like to pursue. Botox injection skill also a plus. Position will likely include both general and movement disorder neurological care; percentage of each will be determined by such factors as workload, cases, and opportunity. Reasonable autonomy. Call shared with other neurologist in the group. Salary plus production model; shareholder status after two years depending on production. Tail coverage, malpractice, and CME included. Strong, experienced group with great location on the campus of Providence Portland Medical Center, one of the flagship facilities of Providence Health & Services.
Providence Portland Medical Center is a major landmark along Interstate 84 in east Portland. The facility has 483 beds and numerous award-winning programs and services, including one of the best internal medicine residency programs in the nation. In early 2008, Providence Portland dedicated a new cancer center that is unmatched on the West Coast in terms of the breadth of services and technologies available under one roof.
Portland has a metro population over two million, but it has managed to maintain strong local neighborhoods and a close connection to nature. Consequently, the city consistently ranks high in national "livability" contests. Popular Science magazine named Portland the greenest city in America. No city of comparable size offers residents cleaner air and water and an all-around healthy environment, according to Earth Day Network. Portland has been named the most bicycle- and dog-friendly big city as well. With high urban culture and easy access to vast evergreen forests, the Pacific Ocean and sun-drenched central Oregon, it's easy to see why Portland is so popular.
Providence Portland Medical Center is part of Providence Health & Services, a not-for-profit network of hospitals, clinics and physician partners in Alaska, California, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Providence has a proud 150-year history in the West, and we continue to grow with the communities we serve. With more than 300 physician opportunities in virtually all specialties, we offer physicians diverse lifestyle choices, flexible work arrangements and robust practice support.
