Ohio Neurology

Seize the opportunity to work in an expanding physician-owned, multiple discipline health care system with over 130 Board Certified physicians providing care in more than 30 areas of expertise. This group of Ohio medical campuses seeks a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist to work a longer-term locum tenens job. The position offers the stability of a three to six month commitment (more if agreed upon by both parties) starting in June 2009. This ongoing opportunity is supported with stable work hours, excellent compensation and the opportunity to network with highly-experienced physicians in multiple specialties. The health system is guided by its core principles of putting patient welfare first and has successfully grown to provide its surrounding communities with full-service medical campuses, including centers for cancer care, cardiovascular health and ambulatory surgery. Work hours are slated for Monday through Friday with the physician seeing a mix of inpatient and outpatient coverage, totaling approximately 20 patients per day. Hospitalist coverage for the clinic locations takes first call and then consults with the specialists. Call coverage is not required for this locum job opportunity, although it will be requested should the physician and hospital be interested in pursuing a permanent employment opportunity. Ideal candidates for this position will have pediatric neurology experience, although this is not a deal breaker for the job. This health system is in the process of implementing the EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, which the selected physician will be expected to use. The selected candidate can also expect a formal orientation to ensure the physician starts out on solid footing.
