Join a private group of four board-certified nephrologists providing services in Erie, Pennsylvania, to a population of over 1.4 million in a tri-state area.
Nephrologist. Ideal candidate will be board certified or board eligible nephrologists proficient in general nephrology. Physicians with basic interventional skills would be a welcome addition to the team.
Nephrology Practice Practice provides all aspects of nephrology care including plasmapheresis and Prosorba treatment for arthritis. It has been in existence for over 25 years and currently manages over 200 chronic dialysis patients. Practice also has a physician assistant on staff in the outpatient dialysis centers. A typical practice day includes inpatient hospital rounds, supervision of acute hemo, peritoneal dialysis and therapeutic pheresis treatments, outpatient office consultations, and follow-up. Night calls and outpatient dialysis visits are shared equally. This is a state of the art practice, minus pre-transplant management. Practice does not care for post-transplant patients from hospital transplant programs in Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Teaching at a local medical school is a possibility, as well as teaching residents at Saint Vincent Health Center with programs in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Sports Medicine and Colon/Rectal Surgery.
