North Carolina Med-Ped

Two med peds looking to bring in a third and forth med peds. It is a hospital employed situation in the surbubs of a major metro North Carolina area. The practice is currently split into about 70% adult and 30% pediatrics. The inpatient service handles all the adult inpatient care. You would round once a day in the mornings on the pediatric patients. The practice will offer a very generous salary, full benefits, relocation, pension, and CME. The hospital is a 400 plus bed hospital located twenty minutes from a downtown North Carolina city. This is a growing community that is reflected in the growth of the hospital. This hospital has all the medical amenities that you would look for in a large tertiary care center. They have open heart, neurosurgery, and a Critical care department with four critical doctors in an open med/surg 20 bed ICU. It is growing to 35 beds including a 15 bed step down Unit., a 20 person Hospitalist group. We also have a family practice residency affiliated with a major teaching hospital. The hospital also has a 15 bed NICU unit staffed by two neonatologists. The ER department does 80K visits in a state of the arts ER department which includes 27 exam rooms, 9 fast track beds, and a private referral component. It is currently staffed by 18 ER doctors. This is a Level III trauma center. This hospital also has one of the oldest and well known nursing schools in the area. Location Description: The general area offers the best of recreation- hundreds of golf courses, class 5 rafting, canoeing, and kayak rapids and flat-water. Professional, college, and University sports teams including: Carolina Panthers - NFL, Charlotte Bobcats, NBA UNCC, Davidson, and others and a world class Symphony Orchestra and a Fine Arts Center.
