Pennsylvania Maternal Fetal

• Wellspan Health System is seeking an additional Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist to join an established, busy and well-respected MFM practice which currently has two university-trained MFM physicians.
• The practice is exclusively consultative with emphasis on high-level ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, and consultation for medical complications of pregnancy.
• The practice does not provide primary prenatal care or perform deliveries.
• The office is located in a brand-new building in close proximity to the hospital, devoted exclusively to Womens Imaging, MFM, and gyn subspecialties.
• Our staff includes six highly skilled sonographers, three genetic counselors, a perinatal nurse coordinator and clerical staff.
• Our ultrasound machines are IU22s and Volusons, all with 3D/4D capability, linked to a PACS system and EMR.
• Fetal MRI is available on site.
• York Hospital currently does about 3,000 deliveries per year with a referral network accounting for another 2,000 deliveries.
• There is a level III NICU with five neonatologists and a pediatric surgeon on staff.
• There are 25 active ob/gyn staff members, two gyn oncologists, two reproductive endocrinologists, and one urogynecologist.

Position Requirements

• A BC/BE university-trained MFM who enjoys a busy clinical MFM practice, can interact well with referring physicians and patients, enjoys teaching residents and medical students, desires a collegial atmosphere and strives to provide the highest quality patient care.
• Excellent ultrasound skills are required as well as the ability to perform PUBS and amniocentesis.
• Opportunities for clinical research are available.
