Practice Medicine and Enjoy Life Job Description Join a multi-specialty group in private practice. The group seeks the ideal candidate (family practice or internal medicine) interested in a traditional or outpatient practice setting. Physician may choose to utilize the hospitals Hospitalist Program for inpatients or share in a call arrangement with other physicians. Expect to see 20-25 patients per day. The practice has 20,000+ active charts and an attractive payor mix. Teaching opportunities are available at the osteopathic medical school in Blacksburg. Recruitment incentive package may include income support, sign-on bonus, student loan repayment, stipend for last year residents, relocation allowance and marketing. Area does not qualify for J-1 candidates. No H1B positions. Board certification required through the AOA or the American Board of Medical Specialties (unless residency has just been completed). The Practice The practice consists of three physicians and one nurse practitioner and is located directly behind the hospital. The practice facility is a brand-new state-of-the-art complex with spacious exam rooms and offices. The successful and financially profitable practice offers a two year partnership track with no buy-in. Two opportunities currently exist within this practice. Group Makeup: Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Gynecology Our Community Hospital is an acute care hospital that serves the residents of Wythe and Bland counties and southwest Virginia, and is fully accredited by Joint Commission. The hospital is located near the intersection of Interstates 77 and 81, which brings thousands of travelers through the area each year. The hospital has 100 beds, 6-bed ICU, 3 large operating rooms and 1 minor procedure room, in-house MRI and 16 slice CT, MD & CRNA anesthesia. The hospital offers 24-hour Emergency Care, Surgery, Extended Care Services, Intensive Care, Women's Services, Radiology Services, Rehabilitation Services, Hospice, Home Health, Cardiology, Respiratory, Cancer Services, Pastoral Care, Hospitalist Program and Community/Occupational Education. The hospital is currently undergoing a $5 million renovation and expansion project in the Emergency Department, expending from 7 exam rooms to 13.
