Providence Health & Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Internal Medicine physician desiring a rural location with abundant practice support nearby. Shady Cove, Oregon, pop. 2,300, sits in the magnificent Rogue River Valley about 25 miles northeast of Medford, pop. 70,000. The clinic is staffed with one physician and one physician's assistant, but we anticipate call being 1:20 because it will be shared with our other Internal Medicine clinics in the area. Call consists of phone calls, and all hospital work is handled by the hospitalist team at Providence Medford Medical Center. The PA with whom the physician will team has been at the clinic for 15 years. The Shady Cove clinic is part of Providence Medical Group South, the largest primary care physician network in southern Oregon, with offices in Central Point, Shady Cove, Jacksonville and Medford. More than 40 PMGS physicians offer internal medicine, family practice, OB-GYN and pediatric health care services, as well as general and vascular surgery. The group's service area population is about 510,000. The Rogue River Valley, located just 30 miles north of the California-Oregon border, offers a high quality of life.
