North Carolina - Internal Medicine Charlotte Job Description: This is a practice that is owned and employed by the Medical Center. Currently the practice has 1 physician and 3 Physician Assistants. They see approximately 100-120 patients a day amongst all the providers. They have a large geriatric population as well as a growing number of younger patients. They are currently the only hospital owned practice that still sees their own patients in the inpatient setting as well as outpatient. Dr. rounds on his patients in the morning, then sees patients in the clinic and then rounds on his patients until 8 pm. Afterwards the Inpatient team follows patients. The practice is located in the hospital which provides ease of seeing inpatients.
The clinic is currently remodeling and expanding the clinic and they will be moving to the larger clinic. They are beginning the recruitment process to obtain a new physician for early 2007 and continue to add a provider each year for a total of 3-4 physicians. This is a salaried position with full benefits package. A great hospital with great physician retention.
Location Description: The general area offers the best of recreation- hundreds of golf courses, class 5 rafting, canoeing, and kayak rapids and flat-water. Professional, college, and University sports teams including: Carolina Panthers - NFL, Charlotte Bobcats, NBA UNCC, Davidson, and others and a world class Symphony Orchestra and a Fine Arts Center.
