The Internist will provide the full spectrum of adult care at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Nashua, NH. This includes outpatient health maintenance, acute, and chronic care. The standard workweek is Monday through Friday, with ten four-hour patient contact sessions/week. This department would consider hiring a part-time physician. H1b sponsorship available.
The call is only phone call, which is described as "light." Most of the night the patient calls are fielded by triage nurses. Most calls coming to the physician are from area nursing home patients. Inpatient responsibilities are performed by hospitalists based at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospital, both based in Nashua. There are no Saturday or evening office hours.
We are looking for an individual who can practice in a multispeciality group setting that includes providers of other disciplines. We work with associate providers, PA's & NP's as well as medical students and residents from Dartmouth College. You will enjoy the camaraderie in this team oriented, collegial setting. Must be comfortable or open to working with computerized medical records.

Outpatient only or traditional practice available. Group has 24/7 hospitalist coverage.
The overall call rotation is 1:10 nights from 5:00pm to 7:00am. You are on second call, first call being taken by hospitalists. Weekend call is every 4th or 5th weekend. Two internists are on call together for the weekend. If on call Friday, off on Saturday,back on Sunday evening. If on call Saturday, you would not be on call Friday night or Sunday night. There are no Saturday office hours.
