Biomat USA, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Grifols is seeking a Part-Time Medical Doctor to work as a consultant to be the Medical/ Laboratory Director for a Plasma Donor Center. Biomat USA, Inc. operates 62 Plasma Donor Centers within the USA. These state of the art facilities collect human plasma from paid donors to create life-saving pharmaceutical products such as clotting factors, immunoglobulins and albumin for patients who suffer from bleeding disorders, immune system deficiencies, burns and shock.

Job Profile:

The Medical Director will provide medical coverage, advice, and assistance to the centers medical staff (nurses and EMTs) regarding donor evaluation, screening, safety, and suitability. The physician will be responsible for overseeing the certification, training and performance of the medical staff as it pertains to the donor assessment and compliance with Biomats standard operating procedures (SOP). He/she will also review donor charts, evaluate basic laboratory results, and, in selected locations, immunization of the donors. The ability to interact with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds is required. Previous experience not required. Industry-specific training provided.

Qualifications:

1.Must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of donor center (MD or DO). 2.CPR certification must be current 3.PC / basic computer skills required 4.Management, leadership, teaching, previous donor or laboratory experience preferred
