Kansas Internal Medicine

KRC.0209.2001.10 Internal Medicine Physician w/o OB position available in a 25 bed critical access hospital and family healthcare center. This physician will provide primary healthcare services in a new clinic attached to the hospital. In addition to the acute care and swing beds, there is a 37 bed long term care unit and a 6 bed assisted living unit. Currently, there are 3 physicians and 1 mid-level on staff. Call time is 1:4 weekends and 1 night per week with back-up on mid-level (1 night per week). In addition to patient clinic visits the physician will admit to the hospital and take Emergency Department call in rotation with the other physicians. Hospital services include on-site CT, mobile MRI, nuclear medicine, lab surgery, and rehab (PT, OT, Speech). This physician will take over an existing patient base. Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Salary can be higher based on productivity. Benefits include: health insurance, pension plan, and four weeks of paid vacation. There is also the possibility of loan repayment, relocation, and a CME allowance.

The community boasts a newly constructed physician clinic and assisted living complex, in addition to a newly remodeled long-term care facility. There are excellent schools in the community and the area is only short commute from a four-year university.
