Sound Inpatient Physicians (Sound), a leading hospitalist company, provides compassionate, skillful medical care to hospitalized patients nationwide. We continue to expand and are seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to further assist in Sounds quest to reduce healthcare costs, improve patient safety and enhance the delivery of care.

The CMO is be responsible for and will possess the following:

• Profit and Loss responsibility + program implementation & continuous program improvement for the regions practice sites
• Supervision of Sounds Chief Hospitalists, accountability for the quality & effectiveness of newly recruited hospitalists: ensuring hospital specific programs are implemented and continuously improved upon
• Leadership experience, organizational skills, & the ability to both multi-task + work well in a team based environment
• A Can Do attitude with a high degree of energy & proven talent as a an effective/persuasive communicator comfortable speaking to the highest levels of a hospital as easily as a medical assistant
• CMO will have a proven reputation as a clinician with strong diagnostic and crisis management skills
• Quality Assurance/Risk Management responsibilities, assessment of DRG compliance at each of regions programs
• Ability to assimilate into & establish productive working relationships with Sounds management team
