Excellent opportunity in Alaska's largest city. Population is 85,000 and is considered the perfect jumping off point for exploring this beautiful state. You can explore the vast Interior at your leisure, fly north to Prudhoe Bay or the Eskimo village of Pt. Barrow; drive south to visit Denali National Park and Mt. McKinley, North Americas tallest peak; or go further south and spend time along Alaskas coast fishing, kayaking, or just sightseeing. It is a wonderful blend of city amenities with frontier attitude.
The incoming internal medicine physician will have the option to join a very successful existing practice or establish an independent practice. In either option, the new physician will receive the strong support of the hospital and medical community. A recently conducted analysis indicated the need for 8 additional internal medicine physicians in the area. It is anticipated that the new physician will be as busy as they want to be in a very short period of time. Internal Medicine staff is highly collaborative and have diverse interest and subspecialty training.
Reimbursements in the area are exceptional as there is no significant managed care. A competative guarantee and incentive package will be provided.

Hospital has 170-beds and is the primary referral center for residents of Alaskas interior. There are 132 physicians on staff representing 21 specialties and over 98% of the medical staff is board certified.
